Bob went over to visit his friend Joe one afternoon and was amazed at how well Joe treated his wife.
He constantly told her how attractive she looked, complimented her on her cooking, and even stopped to give her little hugs and kisses.
“Gee,” Bob said later, “you really make a big fuss over your wife.”
Joe smiled and replied,
“I started appreciating her more about six months ago. It has completely revived our marriage, and honestly—we couldn’t be happier.”
Bob was inspired. He thought, “If it worked for Joe, maybe it’ll work for me too.”
So he rushed home, walked straight through the front door, wrapped his arms around his wife and said:
“Darling, you are the most beautiful woman in the whole world. I love you more than anything, and I want to hear every single detail about your day.”
His wife froze, looked at him in shock… and then burst into uncontrollable tears.
Confused, Bob asked softly,
“Honey, what’s the matter? Did I do something wrong?”
Through sobs she wailed:
“Oh Bob… first the washing machine broke down, then the kids painted the dog green, dinner is ruined, the bills came in the mail… and now on top of everything—YOU’VE COME HOME DRUNK!” 😂
