Laughter is the best way to relax—just like a sauna session! Here’s a funny story about three women, a little technology… and a big surprise.
It was a quiet afternoon at the spa. Three women—a pair of trendy young ladies and one senior citizen—sat together in the sauna, each wrapped only in a towel. The warm steam filled the room, and the three relaxed in silence.
Suddenly, a sharp beep-beep-beep echoed in the air. The first young woman calmly pressed on her forearm, and the sound immediately stopped.
The other two stared at her with wide eyes.
“What was that?” they asked.
“Oh, nothing big,” she said casually. “It was my pager. I had a microchip put under the skin of my arm. Pretty handy, right?”
The older woman raised her eyebrows but said nothing.
A few minutes later, another noise broke the calm—a phone started ringing. Without hesitation, the second young woman lifted her hand to her ear, spoke for a moment, then lowered it again.
“That was my cell phone,” she explained proudly. “I have a tiny microchip in my hand. Saves me from carrying a phone everywhere.”
The senior woman shifted uncomfortably on the bench. Compared to these young women and their “built-in technology,” she suddenly felt outdated. But she wasn’t about to be shown up.
She stood up, muttered, “Excuse me for a moment,” and stepped out of the sauna. A few minutes later she returned, sitting back down as if nothing had happened.
Except… dangling from her rear end was a long strip of toilet paper.
The two younger women’s eyes nearly popped out of their heads. They pointed but stayed silent, unsure what to say.
Finally, the older woman looked at them, smiled sweetly, and said:
“Well, will you look at that… I’m receiving a fax!”
